About
Us
Members of staff at
the Writing Studio have worked for a minimum of ten years each as
writers and
editors, both freelance and in-house. Their clients include ANZ Bank;
various Victorian and Commonwealth government departments including
DSE, DOJ and DSTO; Reed Publications; St Kilda and Boroondara City
Councils; education institutions such as RMIT, CAE, Swinburne
University and
Ballarat University; and numerous small businesses. All staff and
contractors are happy to provide references on request.
For larger projects, the Writing Studio can call on its large pool of experienced contractors to ensure that work is completed to deadline.
Our creative writing teachers and mentors are published professional writers with a passion for helping others to fulfil their writing potential. Between them, our creative writing staff have published over thirty books for adults and children.

You’ve done the research and written the thesis or paper. Now it’s time to make sure your written work conveys exactly what you want to say in clear, unambiguous, compelling language. The Writing Studio can help with copy editing and proofreading your writing to a professional standard.
Creative writers
Whether you are working on a novel, short stories, a memoir, a factual book, or you are simply finding your way into your own writing, we can provide you with a mentor who will help you build on your strengths.
Mentoring sessions are carried out by telephone or in person. Consultation times are set when bookings are made. Reading material for the mentor must be provided at least one week in advance.
The Writing Studio runs occasional creative writing classes presented by creative writing professionals. To be notified of upcoming courses, please email and ask to subscribe to the newsletter. The newsletter comes out once every two or three months.
